Pop Quiz – Who’s Housed? |

Spoiler: Your support helped make it possible.  |

Since it’s Colorado Gives Day, let’s start out with a Boulder Resident Pop Quiz.

Have you seen the gentleman who stands on the corner of Jay and Diagonal every day with a colorful, positive sign and wondered about him? Is he housed or unhoused?

  He is housed.

The woman you used to see walking up and down Broadway and 28th Street with her long white hair and oversized backpack? Is she housed or unhoused?

She is housed.

All Roads did that.
Our incredible staff did that.

When I saw their work, I knew I needed to be part of this organization.

I’m new to the All Roads family, recently coming from the Boulder Chamber of Commerce. I loved my time there – supporting our local business community, advocating for their needs, and seeing the positive impact we could make together. For many businesses, something as simple as getting a sign permit or navigating Boulder County processes required full-time guidance from Chamber staff. Rightfully so, Boulder’s systems are complex, and even the most capable business owners need help navigating them.

Now imagine an individual who’s trying to find stable housing. Maybe they don’t have a car, a phone, or even an ID. To start the housing process, you need an ID. And for many experiencing homelessness, even that first step feels out of reach.

Now imagine facing that task without a mailing address, transportation or a computer. That’s the mountain many of our unhoused neighbors face.

All Roads by the Numbers: What All Roads has made possible for Boulder County:

145 adults exited homelessness in 2025

1,601 people served in our shelter in 2024

60,000 bed nights provided

140,000 meals served in 2025

I made the leap from business advocacy to human advocacy because I believe that a thriving community takes care of everyone in it – without judgement. Here is an organization focused on getting people housed, as well as sheltered. Here are my people.

On this Colorado Gives Day, I ask you to support All Roads. If you’ve given before, thank you, and think about increasing your gift this year in the face of declining investment from government sources, especially in Washington.

Help us continue building pathways out of the shelter for our neighbors. Together, we can make sure that next year, even more of Boulder’s familiar faces have a place to call home.

Lindsey Sharp,
Assistant Director of Development, All Roads
