Chefs at the Shelter

Logo featuring a chefs hat with the text Chefs at the Shelter.

Generously sponsored by:

Alpine Bank and Daily Camera.
About All Roads, Boulder County's primary homeless shelter and homeless response organization, is proud to announce Chefs at the Shelter, presented by Alpine Bank. Beginning on April 13, the shelter will open its kitchen once a month to local chefs, inviting them to cook for the 160 guests it serves nightly. Bringing together some of the community's most talented culinary professionals and the talented and dedicated kitchen team (and volunteers) at the shelter, it will create evenings that celebrate dignity, community, and the power of sharing a great meal. All Roads will ask guest chefs to cook with the same parameters our kitchen staff must deal with every day, as about 90% of the food provided to the shelter is donated. It's a shelter version of Chopped: Ingredients aren't known until they arrive, and creativity is essential.
